Black Book 's November 2024 Recreational Vehicles Market Update reveals a continued decline in auction values for both motorhomes and towables, marking the second consecutive month of price drops. The report suggests a return to normal seasonal patterns as more 2025 models hit dealer lots, pushing used values down as colder weather approaches. Motorhome prices, including Class A, B, and C models, average $65,973, a 3.4% decrease from the previous month but still higher than last year’s $61,575. Auction volumes for motorhomes surged by 18.2%, primarily featuring units from model year 2016. Meanwhile, towable RVs, like travel trailers and fifth wheels, saw a smaller price dip to an average of $18,736, down 1.6% from last month, with a slight 0.9% drop in auction volume.

Grand Island Unveils Major Recreation Project with RV Campgrounds, Cabins
Grand Island officials have unveiled an ambitious plan to transform Camp Augustine into a sprawling recreation area, seamlessly linking it with the Mormon Island State Recreation Area. Spearheaded by John Royster of Big Muddy Workshop, and backed by local authorities, this $45.3 million project envisions two modern RV campgrounds with full-service utilities, spacious sites, and abundant natural privacy. The development will include an outdoor education center, cabins with shared amenities, and extensive recreational facilities such as a central green space, an indoor archery range, and a pond for kayaking and fishing. The park will boast a network of trails, three pedestrian bridges, and upgraded infrastructure, including sewer and water systems, to ensure sustainability. Mayor Roger Steele is committed to securing the necessary funding through grants, city funds, and private contributions, emphasizing environmental stewardship throughout the design. As Grand Island works towards expanding recreational access, this project promises to create over 600 acres of public recreational land for families and nature enthusiasts to enjoy.
