Darin Uselman Appointed as COO of KOA to Enhance Operations for Franchise, Glamping Brand


Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) has announced the appointment of Darin Uselman as its new Chief Operations Officer (COO). Uselman joined KOA in 2017 and has since expanded services with the development of the franchise value model and cultivated high franchise attraction and retention rates. In late 2021, Uselman transitioned to lead operations for KOA's owned portfolio. As Uselman takes on his new role as COO, his experience and leadership skills will help KOA drive operational excellence and build franchise relationships across all brands.


Lightship Launches America’s First All-Electric Travel Trailer


San Francisco-based Lightship has revealed the Lightship L1, the first purpose-built all-electric travel trailer with a self-propulsion system that provides greater efficiency, longer range, and a seamless camping experience. The L1 has an electric powertrain generating up to 80 kWh of onboard battery capacity and three times more aerodynamic than a traditional travel trailer, with a week of off-grid power without charging. The Lightship L1's starting price is $125,000, and it's available for pre-order. It represents a significant shift towards more sustainable and eco-friendly travel trailers and a game-changer for the RV industry that has long relied on gas and propane generators.


Brooklyn Bedding’s RV Mattress and KOA Partner to Offer Exclusive Sleep Products for Campers


Brooklyn Bedding 's specialty brand, RV Mattress, has partnered with Kampgrounds of America, Inc. of America (KOA), North America's largest network of open-to-the-public campgrounds, to offer KOA campers exclusive access to RV Mattress' line of sleep products designed specifically for the open road. The partnership offers KOA Rewards members exclusive discounts on RV Mattress products, co-branded content, and additional benefits through the KOA Marketplace page. The partnership will also include shared content opportunities, digital advertising, printed material integration, guest blog contributions, and social media collaborations. This partnership is a part of KOA's ongoing efforts to connect campers with industry leaders that can enhance their camping experiences through meaningful partnerships.
