May's Workplace Law

May's Workplace Law

Welcome to the first edition of my LinkedIn newsletter, Workplace Law. Each month, my colleagues and I in the Employment team at Thomson Snell & Passmore will share key employment law updates with you.

In this month's edition we discuss the upcoming changes to TUPE legislation and the Government consultation, the advantages and disadvantages of ACAS early conciliation and the importance of employers taking steps to protect their confidential information to ensure that employees comply with their confidentiality obligations, both during garden leave and after the employment has ended. Plus, you can watch our latest video on the different types of restrictive covenants.

Following the recent announcement of a July general election, we are hosting a virtual HR Club election special next month where we will focus on each political party's stance on employment law and what changes they are going to promise in their bids to run the country from 5 July. We hope you can join us, please sign up below.

If you have any questions about any of the topics raised in Workplace Law, please do get in touch.
