In our fourth interview of the “Taurex Team Talks”, we had the opportunity to speak with Roland Kazzi, about his role as the Partnerships Success Specialist. Roland shared insights into his responsibilities at Taurex and offered valuable advice for those aspiring to build a career in the Trading Industry.??
Hi Roland! Can you walk us through your journey to becoming a Partnerships Success Specialist at Taurex? What experiences or qualifications led you to this role?
It all started back in 2016. After graduating with a finance degree, I delved into the world of forex trading. Eager to learn, I experimented and absorbed valuable lessons from some early losses. Fast forward six years, and my dedication and acquired skills landed me a role at Taurex, a multinational company. Throughout the following two years, I continuously expanded my knowledge by completing several certificates, which ultimately led to a promotion to Partner Success Specialist.
As a Partnerships Success Specialist, what does a typical day look like for you? Could you describe some of your key responsibilities and tasks?
A typical day involves managing a pipeline of potential partners, from initial contact (introducing brokers, affiliates, high net worth and corporate clients) to finalising contracts. I negotiate deals, collaborating with internal teams to tailor offers and ensure smooth onboarding. The afternoon is filled with negotiation, while mornings focus on outreach and evenings involve reporting and partner relationship management. It's a dynamic role that keeps you at the heart of building strong, successful and lasting partnerships for Taurex.
As someone who conducts seminars and webinars, what are your strategies for engaging and educating participants effectively, especially in complex topics like CFD trading??
In my seminars, I transform complex topics like CFDs trading into engaging learning experiences. By using clear explanations, visuals, and interactive elements like polls and case studies, I empower participants to understand market influencers and their impact. This cultivates a deeper knowledge of trading, investing, and the financial markets as a whole. In addition, my passion towards the industry keeps us engaged further after the seminars during the Q&As.

What strategies do you employ to maintain strong relationships with Taurex's partners and ensure their ongoing satisfaction and engagement?
I prioritise building strong relationships with our partners. I achieve this by treating them exceptionally well, negotiating competitive offers that meet their needs, and ensuring their requests are swiftly fulfilled by our support and funding teams. This focus on exceptional service and responsiveness fosters ongoing satisfaction and engagement with our partners.

Reflecting on your career journey, what is the most impactful lesson you've acquired??

Be patient! I have always wanted to achieve my goals in the fastest possible way, and failure was often the result, especially in trading. But fortunately, my failures, while painful and frustrating, did not deter me. Instead, they steered me towards a valuable realisation: Slow and steady always wins the race!
Taurex operates in a competitive market. How do you differentiate the partnership offerings to ensure they stand out and provide value to partners?
I ensure our partnership offerings stand out by constantly analysing competitor options. This allows me to identify areas where we can provide superior value.? Through collaborative negotiation with partners and the Taurex dealing team, we design attractive packages that address their specific needs. This commitment to competitive advantage ensures our offerings remain highly attractive and foster long-term, successful partnerships.
What advice would you give to individuals in the MENA region seeking to enter the finance industry??
Trading involves high risk, so before diving in, make sure you really want to learn, stick to a successful strategy, and be disciplined, patient and realistic with your profit expectations.
