Mayors urge MEPs to adopt 10 actions for a better Europe

Following the European elections, a new direction is being shaped in the European Parliament. Significant political shifts are taking place, and cities are taking action to ensure MEPs recognise their importance for the prosperity of Europe.

By holding the summit in Strasbourg, the seat of the European Parliament, our aim was to create a renewed alliance between mayors and MEPs to ensure citizens' needs are at the forefront of EU decision-making.

We also presented Eurocities new declaration to Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, outlining mayors’ ten priority actions to deliver a more sustainable, competitive and just Europe by 2029.

You can learn more about the summit below, along with news on Eurocities Economic Development Forum, and cities' work to implement urban climate adaptation, achieve sustainable food systems and ensure digital inclusion ??
