Mayo Clinic Ranks First In Hospital AI Readiness Index

This month, CB Insights launched the Hospital AI Readiness Index. The Index ranks the top 25 private-sector health systems in the US based on how prepared they are to adapt to a rapidly evolving AI landscape. Each hospital is evaluated on innovation and execution. Mayo Clinic ranks first, followed by Intermountain Health, and Cleveland Clinic.

Innovation Score

The innovation score measures a health system’s track record of developing or acquiring novel AI capabilities. This score is based on patents, acquisitions, deal-making activity, and the presence of an AI-dedicated research center.

Execution Score

The execution score measures a health system’s ability to bring AI-powered products and services into clinical practice as well as deploy AI internally across business and back-office functions. This score is based on business relationships, product launches, and earnings transcripts.

Thanks for sharing. It’s rather disappointing to see some of the reputable healthcare systems are behind the curve on the digital age and innovation. This sector is where AI can make a huge impact on quality of care by providing access to critical information on patient journey. A huge opportunity for investment and improvement.

Thanks for sharing. What about public hospitals in Us? What about hospitals out of the US? I think the Chinese hospitals will be on the top since they are engaged in AI adoption much earlier than any country in the world. https://www.aa.com.tr/en/artificial-intelligence/china-opens-1st-ai-hospital-town-to-treat-patients-in-virtual-world/3234256
