The Point.1888 signs as the UK licensing agent for Dog Man and Cat Kid.
“We are massive fans of these incredible graphic novels,” said Katie Wilkinson, Commercial & Strategy Director at The Point.1888.
The Joester Loria Group – the exclusive global licensing agent for Dog Man and Cat Kid Comic Club, on behalf of Writers House and Dav Pilkey – has appointed The Point.1888 as its local licensing agent in the United Kingdom and Eire.
Dav Pilkey’s Dog Man series launched in August 2016 and has more than 60 million copies in print, while all five books in Pilkey’s Cat Kid Comic Club series have topped bestseller lists. Elsewhere, an animated Dog Man feature film is slated to open in theatres worldwide in January 2025.
“We are absolutely honoured and thrilled to be representing Dog Man and Cat Kid in the UK and working alongside JLG,” said Katie Wilkinson, Commercial & Strategy Director at The Point.1888.
“We are massive fans of these incredible graphic novels and are so excited to build a consumer products programme that extends the characters that children already love into new areas. We can’t wait to start conversations at Licensing Expo.”

Moomin Licensee Day June the 18th 2024.
Moomin Characters will be holding a UK Licensee Day on the 18th?of June in central London. This will be a fantastic opportunity for both existing and potential partners including Retailers to hear first-hand the exciting brand plans for next year and beyond.
In 2025 Moomin will celebrate its 80th anniversary with a variety of retail, product, marketing and PR initiatives.?The love and appeal for Moomin continues to grow, transcending generations, and offering fans and consumers a caring, approachable and environmentally-minded brand. We’re sure that attendees will come away with fresh excitement for the brand and its upcoming plans.
Viva Las Vegas, the Licensing Expo.
Our team had a brilliant time in Las Vegas at the Licensing Expo . It's always a very busy week full of exciting opportunities, and we thoroughly enjoyed catching up with all of the wonderful familiar faces we know. Now that we are back, we will be following up on all of the meetings we had and moving forward with a very exciting year. The next show is already in sight and again diaries are filling up fast. On to the next!

We have signed four new licensees to add to the Moomin Characters licensing programme.
Ahead of the brand’s 80th anniversary next year, Blade & Rose is on board for infant apparel, Licensed to Charm is developing jewellery, Practical Publishing has joined for magazines, while Skinny Dip is readying Moomin phone accessories.
