Mentor Committee:
The mentor committee is in charge of the FEB’s social mentors, who are in charge of all first-year students and their experience with the student life!
Sefa Study Trip:
The Sefa Study Trip is an annual trip organized for 30 students from the Faculty Economics and Business of the University of Amsterdam. The Sefa Study Trip takes you to an interesting city abroad. During the trip you will participate in company visits, from start-ups to multinationals to governmental organizations, and local universities. In this way, the Sefa Study Trip gives you the opportunity to discover a different economic landscape and business culture. Besides, some social activities are added to the program, such as visits to cultural sights and the exploration of the local nightlife.
Commercial Team:
Interested in improving your sales skills? Then the Commercial Team is your best choice. Work with the largest companies in the Netherlands, such as ING, Philips, BDO and many more.
The Commercial Team works closely with the Commercial Officer to manage and expand the commercial network of Sefa. As a member of this committee, you will be trained to become perceptive to the needs of companies, transform problems into opportunities, develop a commercial mindset, become accustomed to a professional style and learn how to be persuasive. As the Commercial Team is deeply involved in the company side of Sefa it carries a large responsibility and is essential for the inner workings of Sefa.
Marketing Team:
As part of the Marketing Team you are the right hand of the Marketing Officer of Sefa. You will be working on all external communication, which should be a reflection on the corporate identity of Sefa. As content creator you will be working on the lay-out and content of social media posts (i.e. Instagram, LinkedIn and email), but also you will be supporting other committees throughout their promotion plan. Lastly you are responsible for the promotion campaigns that recruit new committee members for Sefa in September, February and May.?
Rostra Economica:
Rostra Economica?has been a part of student life since 1953. Building on its long and rich history as magazine of the Faculty of Economics and Business. Our creative editorial team, which represents students of the FEB, contributes with articles from a wide range of disciplines and interests. In these articles, you can experience a variety of content including issues that move our economy, interviews with interesting people, columns about the university life, and much more. The aim of our magazine is to provide students with information that is relevant and indispensable, meaningful and understandable. We invite every student to read and join the discussion.?Rostra Economica?is made by students and for students, with the focus of sharing insights, challenging ideas and providing engaging content.
Research Project:
After successfully conducting research in India, Argentina, Indonesia, Brazil, the Philippines, Chile and China, Spain and Portugal. The location for Sefa Research Project 2022 will be Indonesia!
Sefa Research Project offers tailor-made research to companies with aspirations in emerging economies, all below cost-price!?
In the summer of 2022, a group of 16 highly motivated and ambitious students will fly abroad for four weeks of field research aligned with the needs of the companies. These companies – four in total – are acquired by the students beforehand. When the acquisition is finished, the students carry out desk research in the Netherlands and prepare themselves for field research with both academic and professional support. Highly-placed professors of the UvA will give advice during the preparation and strategy consulting companies, such as BCG and Deloitte, will give trainings on the implementation of market research.?
The International Student Committee:
The?International Student Committee?(ISC) at the Faculty of Economics and Business is a committee that consists of both Dutch and International students whose aim is to make a more inclusive, positive, productive, and of course, fun environment for international and Dutch students studying at the faculty of Economics & Business. Therefore the International Student Committee organizes many events during the year.
The?International Student Committee?hosts many events, ranging from monthly drinks to formal festive dinners, a football tournament, and a barbecue. The?International Student Committee?does not just organise social events, but also offers services to fellow and prospective students such as a tutor-student matching program and a Q&A platform to answer any questions (prospective) students may have regarding topics such as their study or integrating into Amsterdam and the Dutch culture.
