And just like that, May is just about over!

As we head into the holiday weekend, let Memorial Day be a time to honor, reflect, and remember those who've made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Here are a few updates to think about while enjoying the long weekend.

First and for most...GRADUATION! I totally believe moms & dads have bragging rights! And let’s face it, raising children is the hardest job. Yeah, not so easy. But when I think of success, I think of how well my children treat others. I am beyond blessed with two amazing daughters. On May 9th my oldest daughter, Olivia, graduated magna cum laude from the Business school at Stephen F. Austin State University with a major in Business Marketing and a minor in Social Media. I am beaming with pride! She is full speed ahead into “adulting” with a full-time job as the social media coordinator for a well-known business in Dallas. Her words: “Mom, I was made for this job.” Proud, proud, mom here. Next up: Apartment shopping. Wish us luck!

MOTHERS DAY! We wish all moms out there a happy belated Mother’s Day! My mom is and will always be my hero. Mowing is her favorite thing & this picture is priceless. Tears of joy – over a lawnmower. For real.
