Sara Schoenfeld

International Trade & Human Rights Attorney; Founder, Trade Impact Foundation

@Sara Schoenfeld is a NY-based attorney with a focus on business law and international trade law at Kamerman, Uncyk, Soniker & Klein PC?(KUSK Law).?

Prior to joining the KUSK Law, Sara spent over five years in the Ernst & Young LLP Global Trade practice advising US and foreign multinational corporations regarding international trade laws and regulations, strategic planning, compliance and risk management, and controversy.

?

Sara has experience in a variety of industries including consumer goods, e-commerce, textiles and apparel, pharmaceutical, industrial, technology and food and beverage, and in assisting clients to navigate through regulatory requirements of US Customs & Border Protection (CBP), as well as a host of other government agencies. She has extensive experience advising clients on free trade agreements, country of origin determinations as well as customs valuation matters, including developing support for valuation methodologies and first sale for export. Sara has worked on numerous internal audits and has assisted clients with various filings with CBP, including protests and prior disclosures.

?

Sara founded the?Trade Impact Foundation, a nonprofit organization seeking to support ethical international trade with a positive human rights footprint, and serves on the Board of the Organization for Women in International Trade (OWIT) NYC Chapter.

?

Sara obtained a certification from MIT Professional Education in Sustainability: Strategies and Opportunities for industry (February 2023) and is an experienced speaker and writer on international trade, sustainability and human rights subjects.

?

Sara received her B.S. in accounting, summa cum laude, from Yeshiva University , her J.D., cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law and is admitted to the New York State bar.? ?

?
