May Market Update

?? In the Gulf region, we continue to see a very active hiring market following Ramadan despite the floods. We've noted a particular increase in hiring demand for data centres, as companies based in Dubai and the MENA region are confidently expanding. Yet, we are still seeing high competition between jobseekers for roles this month, with employers looking to stand out by improving employee benefits packages.

?? In the UK, there are positive signs of the market getting back on track. While inflation remains a concern, there are many causes for optimism, including increased employer confidence across banking and finance. As the summer months approach, we're also experiencing an uptick in bookings for temp holiday cover and an increase in private staff recruitment requests.

?? In the US, we are receiving an influx of enquiries for temporary cover as employers prepare for staff vacations. Across the country, hiring activity in major cities is bustling, and jobseekers are continually relocating between cities in search of new opportunities. Meanwhile, our private team are currently fielding enquiries for senior positions in private households and family offices, such as estate manager, head chef, executive assistant and chief of staff.

?? In Switzerland, the warmer weather is generating an increased demand for interim cover to support over the May public holidays and subsequent summer months. Our team have an extensive network of temporary employees fluent in English, Swiss-German, French, Italian and many other languages ready to meet your temporary needs, whether at the office or within private households.
