This month, we blew out the candles for a very special occasion—our 12th birthday! Snowflakes celebrated with fun festivities around the world. Since the beginning, we've continually pushed boundaries and established ourselves as the leading AI Data Cloud platform, and we can’t wait to see where the journey takes us next. Here’s to another snow-mazing year!?
??Snowlympics Put Rings On It (cue the Single Ladies Dance)
In celebration of this year’s Paris Summer Olympics, we hosted our first-ever Snowlympics event and united Snowlympians worldwide in a series of exciting competitions. Team members tested their keyboard speed, launched paper airplanes to new distances, and showcased their skills in other various feats of prowess, including a pushup competition. Over the course of two action-packed weeks, participants battled it out to climb the leaderboard and demonstrate their Snowflake spirit. Winners of each game took home the gold, silver, or bronze medal — not to mention bragging rights until the next Olympic games!?
? Following the Northstar: Navigating Developers Through the AI Data Cloud in India
Snowflake’s inaugural Northstar Conference took India by storm, with over 3,800 builders at various career stages flocking to Hyderabad and Pune for a day of upskilling, mentorship, and more. Some of the offered sessions? Hands-on workshops to learn all things Snowflake, a delicious high tea networking event, and even a Streamlit hackathon. Who said conferences had to be stale? Not us!

Growth was a major theme for us in August, from professional development to earnings. Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy recently announced our Q2 earnings, noting:

"Snowflake delivered another strong quarter, surpassing the high end of our Q2 product revenue guidance and, as a result, we're raising our product revenue guidance for the year. Product revenue was up 30% year-over-year at $829 million, while remaining performance obligations were $5.2 billion, up 48% year-over-year. The quarter was hallmarked by innovation and product delivery, and great traction in the early stages of our new AI products. With the combination of our platform, the network effect of collaboration and our AI innovations, we have a huge opportunity ahead to deliver even greater value to our customers."?
