Join us on June 5 for our final Creating Connections event!

Join us for our upcoming CREATING CONNECTIONS event! We are excited to collaborate with the Barrie Public Library and the Barrie Police Service for a fun and family-friendly Newcomer community event series. Our third session will be on June 5th from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM at the Barrie Police Headquarters located at 110 Fairview Rd, Barrie ON. Free bus transportation is available to the event from YMCA Immigrant Services (320 Bayfield St). The bus will depart at 5:15pm. The theme for our third session is “Community Helpers” Join Barrie Police Service members for a fun and interactive story time, try on their uniform kit, play with handcuffs, and visit a Police vehicle. A part of The Future of Belonging Project is helping to build a Community Innovation Network to ensure we are designing the futures we need see in our region. To do this, we need your help to take a look at what might be on the horizon. Join the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka and Georgian College's Scan Club to help The Future of Belonging Project build a list of trends community organizations need in their new strategic plans. What is a Scan Club? A Scan Club is a group of people (everyday people, students, experts, and partners) that come together to explore the future. We do this by using futures thinking and strategic foresight. The first of six sessions will be held virtually on Friday, May 24th from 10-11:30am. Join Us for Cedar Springs Family Camp on Beausoleil Island!

In partnership with Parks Canada, we're excited to offer a 5-day Family Camp program at the Parks Canada Cedar Springs Campsite from August 26-30 on Beausoleil Island (the same island our beloved YMCA Camp Kitchikewana resides on!). This program is tailored for families looking to share an experience in nature and explore the beauty of Georgian Bay. Families that stay at Cedar Springs have the opportunity to take part in programs for the whole family run by YMCA Camp Kitchikewana. Cedar Springs Campers will have access to the campground amenities and be given the opportunity to spend a day at Camp Kitchikewana!
