A Message from Our President, Tonya Winders

Tonya Winders, President of GAAPP, shares her enthusiasm for the upcoming AGM where we will elect new board members and celebrate our collaborative success.   • World Asthma Day 2024: This year, we celebrated significant strides in asthma management and advocacy, particularly highlighting our new multilingual resource, AboutAsthma.org, launched in partnership with key European organizations. This platform is set to revolutionize support for asthma patients and caregivers worldwide.
  • New GAAPP Co-authored Publication: We are proud to introduce a landmark publication on pediatric asthma monitoring. This document offers 24 expert recommendations to enhance decision-making in clinical practices globally

Recognizing Our Community’s Achievements

  • 2nd Atopic Dermatitis Conference in Puerto Rico: Supported by GAAPP, this event marked a legislative milestone with the recognition of Atopic Dermatitis, significantly advancing patient education and healthcare practices.
  • Ghana National Campaign for World Asthma Day: Our member organization Asthma and Allergy Foundation of West Africa led a month-long advocacy initiative, emphasizing the importance of asthma education and patient empowerment.
