Vietnam emerges as a top origin for international student mobility, dubbed a 'rising star' by the British Council and Oxford Economics. With a robust economy and manageable risks, the country is projected to experience significant growth in GDP per capita and household income.

Studyportals data confirms Vietnam's prominence, ranking it 22nd globally in student interest for on-campus programs abroad. Interest from Vietnamese students is particularly strong in fields like Marketing, Computer Science, and Business Administration.

Nigeria's student mobility dynamics: Navigating challenges amidst flickers of promise

Nigerian students' interest in studying abroad has seen a significant decline, posing challenges for universities worldwide, according to Studyportals data and a report by the British Council and Oxford Economics. Economic challenges in Nigeria, exacerbated by policies and global crises, have led to financial constraints for students and uncertainty about the country's stability.

The UK, in particular, has been heavily impacted, with a 76% decrease in visa issuances. However, there are still positive trends, notably in Cyber Security, which has seen a 17.6% increase in interest. While interest in the "Big 4" destination countries has waned, countries like Austria, Italy, and Finland are witnessing a rise in demand from Nigerian students.
