Pet-Inclusive Spotlight: Cathedral Square
Vermont-based nonprofit Cathedral Square is a national leader in affordable, service-enriched housing for older adults and people with diverse needs. They recognize that aging in place is better with a pet and have a pet policy that reflects this belief. Cathedral Square partnered with Blake Randell, OTD, OTR/L , an occupational therapist who specializes in this instrumental activity of daily living to learn more about their residents' experiences with pets and identify additional supports needed to ensure pet-inclusive housing. Thank you, Cathedral Square and Dr. Randell, for your work to keep people and pets together!

6 个月Our pet bathrooms will have a major impact on service dogs and the owners to be able to maintain their dog with pet waste disposal and pet maintenance with a bathing table and shower. They will be able to keep the house cleaner because the dog doesn't go outside to relieve them selves. We have flush-able waste bags the can be deposited in the bathroom or your toilet in the house for your pet walks. Our cat toilet that is in progress requires very little upkeep and no touching the waste or pounds of litter going into the landfills. It is treated and flushed into the sewer where it belongs. The EPA's preferable method of disposal is FLUSHING IT. The future of waste water treatment will be changing in the near future to take away from their objections in being able to take it. Let me know if you have any questions.
