This month, at our Stone Ridge site, Dennis Kerl, Service Training & Projects Engineer, initiated the onboarding training for the latest member of our Field Service team, Luis Hoyos! Luis received training in basic preventative maintenance for our pilot freeze dryers, leveraging his prior experience in field service.
Other Field Service Engineers who have been recently onboarded are Mike Robidoux and Adam Purvenas. Welcome to the team!
The Spring session of our popular Hands-on Training course, “Lyophilization Cycle Development & Optimization” was hosted at the Warminster facility on May 20-24, 2024. Presented by Dr. Jeff Schwegman, PhD and Dr. Ian Schmitz, PhD, Product Manager at Scientific Products. Attendees focused on following the freeze-drying process and cycle development in hands-on laboratory time. Lecture topics presented included lyophilization theory, cycle design, formulation basics, and pre and post analytics.

Charity News
Our team in Ipswich participated in the East Anglian Air Ambulance's Trek 24 (EAAA). The participants trekked 24 miles to fundraise for this organization. So far, they have raised £850.
The EAAA operates without regular government funding, depending entirely on community support. With crews responding to an average of 8 missions daily across two bases, each costing approximately £3,750, they strive to reach any location in the region within 25 minutes, recognizing the critical importance of timely intervention for patients in medical emergencies.

Our Mataró facility hosted an Aseptic Fill-Finish Open House! Attendees visited the i-Dositecno facility and learned more about the technology behind our aseptic fill-finish solutions. Attendees received a demonstration of the high-speed combo line for vials and syringes with 100% weight check, along with other aseptic fill-finish equipment, and a tour of our Mataró facility.
Earlier this month we teamed up with ATS Life Sciences Systems and Comecer at CPHI North America! Together we showcased our aseptic fill-finish and full line integration solutions.
