Businesses remain wary of sticky inflation and government spending, and are hoping this ‘pre-election’ budget delivers for small and medium enterprises. Business NSW is calling for major reform of payroll tax, GST, and income tax. Other recommendations in our pre-budget submission include support for SMEs, housing initiatives, and energy advice and support programs for SMEs as they move towards energy efficient solutions.
The recent New England North West Regional Leadership summit, in partnership with Tamworth Regional Council and C7EVEN, was a resounding success. Almost 100 regional leaders met to collaborate, share knowledge and discuss strategies for development and growth.
