May 2023 witnesses a 3.81% MoM increase in AUM, reaching Rs. 43.20 lakh crore

The Assets Under Management (AUM) in May 2023 recorded a 3.81% month-on-month increase, reaching Rs. 43.20 lakh crore compared to Rs. 41.61 lakh crore in April 2023. This milestone marks the first time AUM has crossed the Rs. 43 lakh crore mark. However, the monthly growth rate of AUM slowed compared to the previous month, while the annual growth rate stood at 16.08%, the highest since May 2022.

All open-ended categories, except for Overnight Fund, Credit Risk Fund, Gilt Fund with 10-year constant duration, and Floater Fund, witnessed a sequential rise in AUM.

Among open-ended schemes, Liquid Fund showed the highest percentage of gain, followed by Ultra Short Duration Fund and Arbitrage Fund. Similarly, Other ETFs and Liquid Fund maintained their positions as the categories with the highest AUM.

In terms of sequential growth, Equity Oriented Schemes recorded the highest increase of 4.55% in total AUM, followed by Debt Oriented Schemes with a growth rate of 3.89%.

?Additionally, the Average Assets Under Management (AAUM) also saw an upward trend, with a sequential rise of 3.4% and an annual increase of 14.92% to reach Rs. 42.95 lakh crore in May 2023.
