Maximum Utilisation of Resources

Resources are scarce  …..but, Resources abound. Only thing is how we understand and manage them. Rise or fall of an economy depends a lot on it.

  1. Human Resource: The most important of all the factors. The more we can bring out potentials of the population, more the economy (as well as the society) flourish. This is done better through Love, Care, Guidance and imparting proper knowledge; not under suspicion and oppression. A small team of knowledgeable, trained, motivated and disciplined workers can do far more and better work than otherwise. Any country, industry or institution should put it to their first and foremost agenda.
  2. Natural Resources: Some are abundant, some scarce and some are depleting. Intelligent mix of use can keep them available for much more time than we perceive.
  3. Sunlight: We go on talking about Solar Power; why don’t we change our architecture of constructions to use Optical Fibers to light up all the nook and corner of the buildings? Many countries, esp. the Tropical ones, get more than 12 hours enough sunlight to do it. The electricity saved can be used to other productive purposes; or the reduced demand will result in less use of Fossil Fuel and decrease in electricity bills. For some countries, with hot climate, we may even use the Heat of the sunrays directly, without a total Solar Power System.
  4. Wind: Though there is possibility of making a city in such a way that wind go on flowing from one end to other ( Can visit 'Howa Mahal's made by the Mughal Dynasty); it’s quite cumbersome and needs to rebuild a city. But, buildings can be made in a way that most of the areas/ rooms can be airy. We have just to follow the High vs. Low Pressure theory.
  5. Water: “Water water everywhere, not a drop to drink” - we are reaching such a stage. Most of our water sources are becoming contaminated. The Only Way is to Stop Contamination and use central filtration system. We also need to understand how to use it frugally. The use of Bottled Water is no Solution; we end up compromising with Quality of water as well as piling up Mountains of Plastic Bottles. Water as a energy source (economically viable)  is limited to  some countries only, so I leave it to others.
  6. Fossil Fuel: What Nature creates in 1000 or 10000 years we use up in 1 year or less!!  Stop and Think. Do we really need to take the SUV or any car to buy something from the shop? or going to the Gym? to go to the Club? ….which all are just 5 - 10 minutes walk!!  Do we Need an SUV or any gas-guzzler at all while driving through crowded and sometimes narrow city roads, where speed limit is 50 – 60 kmph? Do we need to put on the AC be it in car or home, when the normal temperature is nicely bearable? We still put the AC on just as a practice …or just to Show Off!!
  7. Metals, minerals etc.: They are precious and depleting. We must recycle them to ensure their supply for a long time.
  8. Food: 20 – 30% foodstuff generated is wasted!! The reason may be lack of Storing Capacity to Unnecessary Serving of Plateful of foods (when appetite is much low!).
  9. Land: In the name of Development, we are guzzling Agricultural Land to make Industry and Housing!! Yes, it may be a little difficult to make them on Barren Land But otherwise we head to a Global Food Crisis.
  10. Marine: The world is comprised of 3/4th We need to put our R&D more to it.

The list may continue, but all of them are Sources.

Coming to Re-Sources   ……it’s the Waste We Generate.

…..and that is a never ending source. Till mankind survive, there will be Waste ( I call them Re-sources)…. More than 90% of it is either Recyclable or Reusable, right from excreta to the torn clothes you throw out.

A proper Recycling System can take the economy of any country to new heights, while providing Clean and less polluted Environment, Restrain Climate Change and create more Jobs.

I’m doing some  ….Like to join?

Absolutely very well illustrated fact captured Tapas da . Both the lower and upper end is very dangerous situation . Paucity and abundant resources are the real testing factors to manage .

When it comes to Resources , we have not even scratched the surface . There is enough and more for all for the whole of eternity . Our problem is we have forgotten the One Source of all resources. That source is our all sufficient self existent Creator redeemer who has freely lavished us with immeasurable host of resources so abundantly to enjoy . Our responsibility is to be grateful , faithful and wise stewards employing these resources for the good of all .
