Maximizing Your Reach: 4 Ways to Leverage Short-Form Videos

Short-form video continues to surge as a dynamic and captivating marketing tool. Videos humanize brands, establish deeper bonds with viewers, and encourage higher conversion rates.

They're quick, they're engaging, and they've got some serious potential to level up your brand. In essence, short-form video complements our fast-paced, mobile-centric lifestyle. So, here are my four suggestions to distribute your videos like a pro:

  1. Email Newsletters: If you're not sending out a newsletter to your clients yet (both your prospects and past clients), this is your sign to start one - today. Including your videos in your newsletters is like a double whammy—it keeps your content fun and interactive, and it funnels your subscribers to check you out on social media. When your subscribers follow you - that opens you up to more discoverability to additional users who will love your content and connect with you on a personal level. Win-win, right?
  2. Social Media (Making Content Stretch) You've worked hard on your content, so why not let it work hard for you? A video about first-time homebuyer tips can be transformed into a LinkedIn blog post. Drop the link to your Instagram reel in there, and you're engaging with the culture on LinkedIn while also directing users to your preferred platform (think Instagram, TikTok, Shorts, etc.).
  3. Text Message: Send quick video updates or reminders to your clients. It could be anything from seasonal home improvement tips, shout-outs to local businesses, or even a quick rundown of what the heck a fixed-rate mortgage is. The more visuals, the better.
  4. Social Media (Yes, again): I know, I know—we're back to social media. But hear me out: carousels. They're trending big time and are a fantastic way to use your B-roll videos to give another perspective on your content. Think of a home tour—you could create a carousel with video clips of the property, the neighborhood, local spots, and more.
