Maximizing Your LinkedIn Experience

How can you make the most of a professional platform like LinkedIn, or how can you easily encounter relevant content from your connections? I've heard from several professionals in the event industry who are frustrated with the posts appearing on their pages, which is why I wanted to address these questions.?

As their follower count grows, they find it increasingly difficult to find content that aligns with their business and interests.

With over 30,000 followers, I’ve adopted two key strategies to enhance my LinkedIn experience, though I’m continually working on refining my feed and exploring new options.

1. Control Your Connections: You are able to limit your "Connect" option to those who have your email address. This way, only people you know can send connection requests; others can follow your updates without connecting directly.
2. Unfollow Wisely: If you encounter posts that don’t connect with your professional interests or seem inappropriate, you may unfollow those accounts. This helps ensure your feed remains relevant and valuable.

We live in a world where we can’t control others’ actions, likes, or shares, but we can improve our own experience. Posts may appear in our feeds due to someone else's interaction, but how we respond is within our control. Utilize the tools at your disposal to create a more enriching environment.
