Personal Experience: Have a low ceiling at our first location really limited what we could add to inventory. Over time we took space from our retail side to house more rental products and we slowly eliminated retail items that were not moving any longer or obsolete. When the lease ended, we moved to a double the height ceiling allowing for pallet racking, and we were in instant heaven! Seven years later, we have managed to fill that space now too, as we grow and expand our offerings and volume of what we already carried as out staple rental items. Keep future in mind, and if all else fails, temporary storage of shipping containers are also great options to carry you to end of lease.
