Groundbreak is Procore’s annual construction industry conference, bringing together the top construction thought leaders from around the world. This year we’re back in person in The Big Easy - New Orleans, Louisiana, on November 7-9.

One of Groundbreak’s themes for this year is digital transformation, which encompasses accelerating technology in construction through Procore products, new innovations in data science, automation and machine learning advancements, and any other breakthroughs that help builders by challenging the status quo.

Accelerating the digitization of the construction industry is a passion of mine that came from over 15 years of experience across several construction roles, including as a superintendent, project manager, and operations leader. Frankly, I wanted to figure out how to make the extra, unnecessary, and tedious work more efficient -- and in the process, make everyone's jobs easier. My guiding vision was to be able to take the data from across disparate software solutions and find ways to integrate it in order to build towards holistic solutions.

Procore was one of the software vendors I used in my previous role, and as a customer, I spoke at Groundbreak almost every year to share that vision with industry colleagues. It was useful to discuss my findings, and then hear and learn from others on how they were making an impact. The conversations we held at Groundbreak created opportunities to shape the future of the construction industry outside of my company.?
