In my role as Social Media Marketing Director at CareerToolboxUSA, I manage multiple Twitter accounts all with active communities. Staying on top of that type of traffic can prove to be a challenge. I've tried many Twitter mobile apps in an effort to increase my effectiveness and improve results. However, with so many Twitter apps out there it can be hard to know which ones are pretenders and which ones can actually enhance your Twitter experience.
Tweeting from a mobile device is nothing new. The native Twitter is great, and arguably the best native social media app out there. However, there are some third party applications that can truly enrich your experience.
Here are my top 3 Twitter apps based off my own trial and error, reviews I've read from other users, and feedback from clients.
TweetCaster
This amazing application is available for both iOS and Android and is optimized for smart phones and tablets. TweetCaster has an amazingly beautiful interface complete with sharp widgets, and gorgeous image previews that are far better than the native Twitter app. With TweetCaster you can manage multiple Twitter accounts, making it easier to stay engaged with your communities. Make your Tweets standout by using the photo effect feature! TweetCaster enables you to link your Facebook account so that you can post cross-channel to both your Twitter accounts and Facebook . The long tweet feature enables you to create Tweets that are over the 140 character limit! [Click to Tweet]
This highly useful application enables the end user to more effectively manage his/her Twitter and Instagram community. Unfollowers shows you a list of the people that you are following that have either unfollowed you, or never followed you back. Twitter limits how you can grow your network if the amount of people you are following is far greater than the number that are following you. People that have unfollowed you or never followed you back are a dead lead. They offer you no value. Use this app to eliminate those people from your network. Business users will find the "Copy Followers/Following" feature to be particularly valuable . This feature gives you firsthand insights into your competitors activity on Twitter, including who they follow and who follows them. [Click to Tweet]
Put your Twitter and other social media sites to work for you while you are running your business or away. Hootsuite allows users to schedule their Tweets and Posts. Need to go on vacation? No problem! Schedule your Tweets so that they are marketing your business while you are sipping a fruity cocktail on the beach or off exploring. People that need to manage multiple accounts will really appreciate this app at enables you to manage multiple social accounts all from one easy to use application. These mobile apps will save you time, gain you followers, enhance your user experience, and provide you a more effective way to manage your Twitter community. What are your favorite Twitter apps? 10 年I use both Tweetcaster and Hootsuite Media Inc. and they're both excellent tools. Hootsuite really shines when you have more than one Twitter account to manage or have staff that handles your social media interactions. Tweepi has many other functions as well as what Unfollowers does, such as identifying followers that you don't follow and allowing you to see other users' followers and follow them. Much more functionality and it is free!

10 年Interesting and useful, John White! I have heard great things about Buffer as well as Hootsuite (which I have actually used). Is there a significant difference between them? Anything I / we should know? Thanks so much!
