It's the American Frozen Food Institute 's AFFI Con event this weekend in San Diego, CA. I've seen at least a dozen temp-controlled and dry logistics service providers' announcements that they'll be there so "come and meet us...!"
Why?
In my experience, AFFI Con is one of the best events for meeting new prospects and current customers, and generating huge sales pipelines. With more than 1500 attendees, most of them representing food companies, it's a great event to participate in.
But if you want to stand out as a logistics services provider, you've got to offer a reason for prospects to come and see you.
All your peers offer the same services you do.
They all claim to have great customer service and available capacity.
