Recycling of lead batteries should be a major concern as a lot of cars are forced to move away from service after 10 to 15 years. If these batteries are not recycled properly, we are looking at huge pollution and environmental risks. Interestingly we don't hear much about lead battery recycling projects. We also don't hear much about lead being used in productive ways after recycling. I feel more conversations regarding old lead batteries and productive re usage of lead needs to get more mainstream.
