Maximising BIG seasonal events

Well, that's summer over with! And for many reasons, the beginning of September can be a tough time for Hospitality, with the run from now until Christmas being an absolutely key trading period.

Of course, most have been planning for the upcoming festive period for months already but let's take a look at?how venues can most effectively maximise these big seasonal event bookings to fill their venues...

In partnership with event management platform, KAM Insight recently spoke to corporate event planners and hospitality operators to understand what venues can do to attract BIGGER bookings and here's what they said...

???60% of operators say large bookings and events are important to their business?

???Nearly 3-in-4 venues use some technology to manage big events (hooray!)?

???But?more than?1-in-3 still mainly rely on ‘pen and paper’ to manage bookings

???…and 51% of venues don’t have guest communications in one centralised place or system

And what did the event planners we spoke to think of the whole booking process? They had some key frustrations…

???Slow communication and response time from venues?

???Being handed over to multiple contacts?

???Hidden costs potentially affecting the final budget?

???The need for transparent and itemised cost breakdowns from venues

Attracting seasonal large parties can obviously offer huge revenue potential to venues,?so it’s surprising that so many don’t embrace technology to help them maximise and manage these bookings-?and also streamline and improve the customer experience.?
