Mauritius Issues Consultation Paper On Proposed Regulatory Framework For Peer-To-Peer (P2P) Insurance

The Financial Services Commission (FSC) in Mauritius has issued a consultation paper on the proposed regulatory framework for peer-to-peer (P2P) insurance.

This initiative will enhance the ongoing strategy to sustain the growth of the fintech ecosystem in Mauritius. The consultation of the new proposal will cater for a comprehensive regulatory framework for peer-to-peer (P2P) Insurance.

P2P Insurance is a type of risk sharing model which enables persons to form communities of peers with common interests in order to protect themselves against losses. This is also another step forward to boost the insurance sector, namely through the establishment of new and innovative operators.
