Maurice White the Founder of Earth, Wind and Fire with Jimmy Hotz and a Hotz Box

I just learned that Maurice White passed away. I recall first seeing Earth, Wind and Fire at the Hollywood Palladium in the early 1970's, when I was working for JBL. They really blew me away and Maurice playing the Kalimba in his unique soulful way, with such deep passion, added a powerful dimension to their music. I feel blessed to have met him while he was still on the planet.

This picture of Maurice playing a Hotz Box, was from 1989 at a NAMM show in the Los Angeles, California  area. I hope to see him again in Eternity. So until then, as one great Earth, Wind and Fire song so aptly proclaimed.  "Keep Your Head to the Sky"...
