Matthew Thomas announced as Director of Public Affairs

Dispute Resolution Ombudsman ? Rail Ombudsman ? Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman is delighted to announce the appointment of Matthew Thomas as its new Director of Public Affairs, effective immediately.?Since joining the company in 2018, Matthew has played an integral role in the organisation's Management Team over the past six years.

Matthew's responsibilities will include serving as a key contributor, thought leader, and policy influencer in the fields of alternative dispute resolution, training, and consultancy. He will be tasked with developing and executing strategic plans and activities to create commercial opportunities, expand networks and partnerships, and ensure active participation in national agendas and policy directions relevant to Ombudsman work.

Moreover, Matthew will lead external affairs activities to maximise connections with members, stakeholders, and influencers across government, industry, and the broader ecosystem.

With previous experience in customer service, retail, environmental policy matters with the Welsh Government and business development, Matthew brings a diverse skill set to his new role.

Regarding his appointment, Matthew expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I've been proud to be a part of the DRO team since 2018 and currently enjoy a varied role.
