Some 64% Of Hospitality Businesses Expect Profitability To Fall This Year
The Irish tourism industry is facing ‘a perfect storm’ of cost increases and capacity constraints, according to the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC).
At its flagship annual conference, the ITIC called on the government to match the industry’s ambition for the sector.
“Tourism is the country’s largest indigenous industry and biggest regional employer, and it is having a tough time,” said Niall MacCarthy, chair of the ITIC.
“Intelligence by ITIC shows the tourism industry is still 6% off its pre-pandemic levels. Meanwhile, costs have soared and profitability is seriously damaged.”
NoLIta Dublin Unveils New Menu By Head Chef Cian Noctor
NoLIta Dublin has announced the launch of a new menu, which introduces American-inspired dishes alongside the restaurant’s traditional Italian offering.
Based in Central Dublin, NoLIta aims to blend New York’s Little Italy atmosphere with authentic Italian cuisine.
“Our new menu blends the bold flavours of New York with the Italian favourites NoLIta guests have come to love,” said Cian Noctor, NoLIta’s head chef.
“I’m excited to share these creations with our guests. This is a fun and colourful menu, which I wanted to reflect the energetic and vibrant atmosphere of the venue.”
New Ownership Of Temple Gate Hotel In Ennis
The Madden family has announced the sale of the Temple Gate Hotel in Ennis, Co. Clare.
The Temple Gate Hotel has been acquired by Kelvin Hotels Ltd, a company led by two well-known hoteliers in the Mid-West.

They are Dermot Kelly and John Gavin, who are owner-directors of the Shannon Springs Hotel, in Ballycasey.
Domino’s Opens €16m Supply Chain Centre In Ireland
Domino’s has officially opened its new, 2,550-square-metre Irish Supply Chain Centre (SCC) in Naas, Co. Kildare, following a €16 million investment.
The SCC opening comes at a time when the pizza company is recruiting 500 store roles, ahead of the festive period.
“I am pleased to be here today to mark the opening of the Supply Chain Centre, which is an important symbol of investment in our local community,” said James Lawless, Minister of State at the Department of Transport, at the official opening.
“The centre will not only provide increased local employment, but support the creation of additional jobs in stores across the country.”
