I started rewatching "The Matrix" movie several days ago. I was a little afraid at first that I wouldn't feel the same goosebumps as before, but even after watching it five times, The Matrix is still impactful. It's important to watch movies (or read books) like that every 5-10 years to remind ourselves of some basic values, discover new hidden meanings, and trigger new thoughts within us.
What is The Matrix for me?
1. The Matrix is an example of constraints. Our civilization has created an extremely complicated structure of limitations, traditions, and conventions. Evil forces try to enslave and deceive people so that they don't ask questions and don't interfere with maintaining power and making money. Good forces and people try to make the world better, even with small acts of compassion, help, and support. Advertising, despite its simple goal of ensuring company profit, instills in us a model of conspicuous consumption and replaces our values.
Like in The Matrix, even without centralized control, a person often feels like a lonely cog or a discarded part in this large system. Or worse, a person spends years racing inside the wheel of consumption and working for a company they hate, only to feel empty and sad inside years later. There are so many questions, examples, and dimensions in the Matrix model. And how can we leave the Matrix?
We need to remember that what surrounds us is just a framework, but only we are the masters of our lives. We need to understand ourselves, remember and protect our values, and not exchange sincerity and uniqueness for behavior patterns born in social media.

2. The Matrix is an example of fight and faith. There is enough pain, evil, and imperfection in the world for us to give it some of our strength and time. Of course, it's nice to lie on the beach all your life with a cocktail in your hands, but how is such a life different from the life of a beautiful flower? The meaning of human life is in creation, in developing your abilities and increasing the power with which you can change the world for the better. This meaning is dual. This is a program embedded in us by nature, to preserve and protect life. We must contribute to the development of civilization so that it is stronger, and we have time to fly to another planet before the Sun goes out, even if it's millions of years away. But if we do nothing now, we will never be ready.
But humanity is a civilization driven not only by good deeds, but also by evil ones. No matter who is right or wrong, throughout history, we continue to wage war against ourselves, although we are one big family. We just have to stop all wars and use words, not weapons! And this gives us another meaning. Humanity will kill itself if each of us does not invest a brick of kindness into the culture of civilization during our lives. At least in our everyday lives. But best of all through creation. In any act of creation, from books, to processes at work, to the creation of an ethically responsible business, even in every decision we make, you influence what our world will be like tomorrow.
3. The Matrix is an example of true love. Neo and Trinity are my role models of real relationships, an example of a "power couple". They complement each other, create synergy, they are passionate about their mission together, but they find the opportunity to just enjoy the moment and feel this moment together. And despite their super busy lives, they are deeply involved in each other's lives and are always concerned about each other's emotional and spiritual comfort. Some call it codependency. I call it true love.
4. The Matrix is an example of what we can do. Since this post will be on LinkedIn, I will add some business sense. When you dream of creating your own business, or achieving great results in your work, or just finding a good job, then most likely it will be very difficult to do it head-on in competition with other players. Remember that the world is constantly changing, and success is now determined by the ability to identify these changes and, if not manage trends, then at least quickly respond to them. Look for hidden moves, create unique meanings, find positive viral effects, do not be afraid to act outside the box, and you will be able to realize all your dreams and plans.
P.S. I would like to write a full-fledged book about philosophy, the meaning of life, creation, achievement of goals and overcoming difficulties. If you think this is a good idea, then "like" it.
I save shareholders from headaches and sleepless nights by bringing order and subordinating chaos to rules. I solve problems, motivate teams to achieve goals, and streamline processes to deliver outstanding results.
