Mathematics, Numerics, Derivations and OpenFOAM?
Dear all,
during my Ph.D. at the Montanuniversit?t Leoben, I was working on different topics such as solid mechanics in the finite volume method (OpenFOAM?), everything related to the phenomena happen in a metal solid (kinetics in the solid) and optimizations in general. During the derivation of the solid mechanic equations, I started to build a summary of the governing equations with addition proofs one will never find in other literature. The intension was just as follows: One have to derive the equations oneself in order to understand what is going on.
However, during the time and after getting feedback from the OpenFOAM? community, I extended my summary in such a way, that it is more than a collection of helpful things. Therefore, I published it as a book, which is kept up-to-date. All changes that were made during the time can be found on my website.
If one wants to contribute to the book, feel free to contact me. We could collaborate and extend the book in order to provide a Open Source book that helps people all over the world.
