Roles and Responsibilities:
- Well-rounded materials & process experience from their work on aerospace programs (Preferably UAVs) including experience with composite part fabrication, adhesive bonding, writing materials and process specifications, material test plans / reports, fabricating test coupons, performing mechanical / Environmental testing, and supporting manufacturing related issues.
- Have experience with materials for airframe structures, including composite materials, adhesives, metals.
- Familiar with materials properties and behaviours, testing, processes for aircraft structural parts
- Have experience developing test plans, specifications, and qualifications of materials and processes.
- Familiar with CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, etc.
- Familiar with specifications, test plans, CMH-17
- Review Design from a DFA/DFM perspective
- Help author and revise material and process specifications to support Airframe development programs.
- Evaluates emerging manufacturing technologies and assembly concepts for potential applications.
- Develops and qualifies new tools, assembly concepts, Jigs-Fixtures, materials, parts and processes
- Provide manufacturing support, take part in root cause analysis, help disposition on MRB
- Working knowledge of IMTAR and Mil-Spec requirements Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team.
