Matcha Latte with Cinnamon & Vanilla

Makes 1 latte

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 tablespoon hot water
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey or agave nectar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

  1. Place hot water in a mug. Add matcha powder, and whisk well until matcha is completely dissolved.
  2. Add vanilla, cinnamon, and honey, and whisk again until dissolved.
  3. Heat almond milk in a saucepan until it starts simmering. Vigorously stir milk for around 30 seconds until it becomes very frothy, and pour it into the matcha mug.
  4. Optional: Sprinkle a bit more cinnamon and matcha powder on top.
  5. Enjoy immediately while it's nice and warm, or let mixture cool before pouring over ice for an iced matcha latte.
