Ying Kun Liang (Member Number 1) Creator of Our Collective started training in Judo at the age of 9, and have been a devoted student and teacher of the martial arts for the past half a century. In his teenage years he trained under Soke Ken Blundell at the home of the British Ju Jitsu Association in Liverpool (UK), where he qualified as a black-belt instructor and was part of the World Ju Jitsu Federation martial arts demonstration team. Combining his love for the martial arts and science, he invented in 1988 the world’s first portable strike force measuring instrument called the Strika. To acquire a good grounding of other martial forms, he also practiced in Taekwondo, Muay Thai, and Wing Chun under Grand Master Fong Chi Wing. Since emigrating to US, he now predominantly teaches self-defense classes, utilizing the best components from all the various styles of combats. He is an Executive Producer on the Dragon Squad movie, working beside Grand Master Tyrone Bullock.
