Masterpiece in prefabrication

The new Cathedral, Solo Sagrado of IURD in Taguatinga, Brasília-DF, is a masterpiece in prefabrication. The construction has a totally innovative concept with a contemporary and differentiated architecture, in addition to the various construction challenges such as a continuous spiral containing more than 600 parking lots to a total depth of sixteen meters below ground.

The 54,000 m2 contains slabs made of semi-prefabricated BubbleDeck panels, all tailormade with high precision and quality.?Due to the winding spiral shape of the parking, special panels needed to be designed for the underground slabs.

The up to 16 m long panels, trapezoidal in shape, are born with a continuous changing inclination, resulting in panels twisted along the lengthwise axis.

Despite the complex design and prefabrication, installation onsite was effortless due to the high precision of the panels, resulting in a smooth ceiling with no beams.

Beamless slabs reduce costs and installation time for M&E installations. Furthermore, a beamless parking creates a light and pleasant ambiance. In term of costs, removal of beams reduces the total building height, both above and below ground, providing substantial savings in fa?ade and excavations.
