Masterpiece: Capitalism

Masterpiece: Capitalism

In the capitalist’s POV, it’s a masterpiece of design:

They see a world of manufactured need, where desires are less organic and more cultivated like a field of cash crops. The system roots desires deep, shaping them from childhood through media, education, and culture, subtly training people to equate consumption with fulfillment. They understand that dissatisfaction is the fuel of economic growth, so they keep it smoldering, igniting it with curated ads and aspirational content.

Every product, every brand, is like a small shot of dopamine, an illusion of satisfaction. But it’s never enough, by design. The desires they profit from are carefully balanced between attainable and just out of reach, making people keep coming back, chasing that next item, experience, or service that promises to fill a void created by the very system that sells the solution.

In the end, it’s the perfect feedback loop. The capitalist sees their profit margins soar, built not just on the products they sell, but on the carefully nurtured beliefs that buying those products is the key to happiness. They profit not just from what we buy, but from what we’ve been conditioned to want.
