Mastering When to Leave, Change, Accept or Transform Situations

When you complain, you make yourself a victim. Leave the situation, change the situation, or accept it. All else is madness.” Eckhart Tolle

The most effective way to decide whether you should leave, change, or accept a situation is to remind yourself that you are more powerful than that situation. Identify your thoughts of self-doubt about the situation, any "I can't" thoughts you are telling yourself, and stand up to them by countering them with a new statement: "That is NOT true. Today, I am capable of..."

Then commit to a consistent journey of acting upon your abilities. Remember, you are always capable of learning new strategies, too.

A tangible illustration of this principle lies in a woman who was expressing discontent about her spouse's conduct. Upon inquiry into her interpretation of his actions, she discerned her instinctive "I can't..." notion that had been perpetuating stagnation.

“I feel like I can’t be myself in my own home.”

In the moments that followed her realization, she realized this notion to be antiquated and groundless. She replaced it with the commitment that today she could genuinely express herself within her own home and address her emotions constructively to fulfill her desires and needs.

Because of her transformative shift in mindset and subsequent new, grounded approach, she experienced ongoing and remarkably positive transformations in her marital relationship, some of which appeared almost miraculous.

If you couldn’t in the past, you can find a way to evolve your desires today! Start with your mindset.
