In my experience as a technical project manager, I've come to appreciate the importance of adaptability and problem-solving skills in overcoming unexpected challenges. As a technical project manager with a strong background in development and UX, one weakness I have encountered in the past is struggling to delegate tasks effectively to team members. My tendency to analyze and approach tasks from a developer and UX perspective sometimes led me to take on too much responsibility myself, aiming to ensure the highest quality of work. However, this approach often resulted in an increased workload and stress for me.
To address this weakness, I have been working on building trust with my team members and refining my delegation skills. I now consciously strive to assign tasks to the most suitable team members, clearly communicating expectations and providing them with the necessary resources to achieve their goals. By doing so, I have been able to create a more balanced workload for myself, while also empowering my team to grow and succeed.
