Mastering Project Information Flow: Unveiling the Power of Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP) under ISO 19650"

A Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP) is a structured schedule outlining the information deliverables and associated deadlines for a specific Task Team within a project. Each Task Team is tasked with developing its own TIDP, specifying the outputs, services, or products aligned with their responsibilities as defined in the Responsibility Matrix. The TIDP is a dynamic document, requiring periodic updates throughout the Task Team's appointment.

To ensure an effective TIDP, Task Teams must consider various factors, including project-related information delivery milestones, the Employer's Information Requirements (EIR), the availability of shared resources within the delivery team, and the time needed for the creation, coordination, review, and approval of information.

Within the TIDP, each information container should encompass the following details:

  • Container Name and Title
  • Predecessors or Dependencies
  • Required Level of Information
  • Estimated Production Duration
  • Key Deliverables and Milestones

The TIDPs generated by all Task Teams are consolidated into a single comprehensive document known as TIDP then it will be represented in Gant chart as the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP). The MIDP is established by incorporating the TIDPs from each participating organization.

Task Teams are expected to collaborate by delivering these information containers, along with providing an ID and a File Name, as demonstrated in the figures related to the TIDP process.

For instance, the Architectural team employed a responsibility matrix to identify relevant deliverables, including models and drawings. The third column of the TIDP provides an overview of the interchange format for each delivery, offering valuable insights for other Task Teams working with the Architectural team.

In the fifth and sixth columns, the required capacity for associated work is indicated. The remaining columns outline predecessors or dependencies and the associated time lags.
