As a business that solves a problem, your online presence is the first thing a buyer is going to look at, so why not give them content they can’t resist reading?
There are tricks to having content that your audience will actually read and interact with.
Here are some tips to get you started.
1. Know your audience.
By knowing your audience, you can effectively create content that resonates with them. How do you know your audience exactly? By building a buyer persona, of course!
What is a buyer persona?
A buyer persona is a fictitious customer with a name, gender, job title, interests, and all the traits of your ideal customer.
You might ask, why do I need this? Why is this important? It sounds silly.
You’d be surprised. If you know everything about the person you’re trying to reach, you can understand their pain points, desires, aspirations, and more. This is essential to making sure that people actually read your content. If it’s relevant to your customer, they’re more likely to take the time to read, and maybe interact with it.
2. Use strong copywriting skills to know exactly what to say.
Making your copywriting stronger is important when creating irresistible content that your customer wants to read.
Good copywriters know how to write content that sells, and how to write to motivate a particular action, such as booking an appointment, signing up for a newsletter, downloading a lead magnet, and maybe even pulling the trigger on the sale. They’ve been trained to analyze their customer they’re writing for, and know how to write content for that specific type of person, and that specific platform, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, the business’s website, etc.

3. Use data to make decisions on your content.
If something does really well, grasp that information. With analytics as your guide, you can understand what’s working, and how to produce content that gets you clicks.
4. Engage with both your content and others.
By engaging with your content (replying to comments, responding to reposts, etc.) you let your audience know you appreciate them, and could even encourage them to take a look at your profile to learn more about your content.
By interacting with the content posted by others, you put your name in front of your ideal audience. The more times they see you, the more likely you are to build a relationship with them.
5. Don’t jump into the DMs of people right away, and if you do, don’t sell right away.
People want to buy, but often don’t want to be sold. If you pop up in their inbox and immediately sell some high ticket product, you’re going to get ignored, or rejected. Provide free value first, and build a relationship with your client. That way, when you ask them to speak with you over a call, you’re more likely to get the sale in the end.
6. Be consistent with your content.
I have an entire article on content consistency. Comment down below if you want the link.
Having a consistent schedule with your content such as your posts, articles, and emails, gives your audience something to look forward to, and shows your reliability. If you can commit to your content, you’re more likely to commit to the services you provide as well.
If you struggle with staying consistent, try building a content calendar with publish dates, what platform you plan to post on that day, and any other information that will make your life easier, such as the date, the time, the creative, and the trends you want to create content to follow.
