Mastering Internal Communication is a must

''Without effective internal communication, your business is doomed. without good communication methods, companies fall behind in productivity, profits, and employee satisfaction'' from taking root. A clear internal communication strategy and methods are, the ground base for the company and the employees to align in the purpose.

During our years at the Department of Communication, we focussed on corporate and internal communication strategies. When we hear these terms with strategy in a big letter we think we are talking about hard complicated matters that will shift our attention from sales turnover or marketing. But these are practices we do daily in our workplace and most of the problems we are facing from, communication flow between departments, between peers, and between different management levels, their reasons are rooted in a complete absence of an internal communication process, adding to that what we call dirty information pool and I should add gossips here. This can look like a simple thing, but an environment like this leads to a bigger problem, it leads to what we call a toxic work environment in which nobody wants to stay.

it's not about teaching the employees how to choose their terms in their emails, how to write them, how to address this and that, but giving them the information and the healthy communication channels and lines with the healthy information from the right sources. Not doing that leads to an employee whatever his/her experience still wondering where to get the answer to this question which person or #department is in charge?

That environment leads to unprofessional emails, and demotivated employees, and in Turkey where personal and professional are quite going together, you see this one doesn't talk to that one because he said this in a meeting and he/she meant him... in professional life, I can give you my comments, my objections even my absolute disagreement and after that, we go and have our tea and coffee, we are never obliged to be friends but never obliged to be enemies, especially in a workplace where you spend 1/3 of your day five days a week better keeping a good vibe and atmosphere, the role of the company is to put a solid base for that starting from clear internal communication and information flow strategy.

Putting training, social activities, and periodic @inter-meetings within a department and between them are among the actions that strengthen and develop internal communication. Newsletter and general notes and announcements among others are what clean the dirty pool of information. ''work hard and live harder in a good positive vibe environment''
