Tip #1: Shortcuts — are my productivity master!

First up, mastering keyboard shortcuts can turn you into a design ninja in no time. Here are five must-know shortcuts to get you started:

  • Copy properties: Command + Option + C
  • Paste properties: Command + Option + V
  • Copy as PNG: Command + Shift + C
  • Zoom to 100%: Shift + 0
  • Rename: Command + R

Tip #2: Don’t spend time on cropping images!

Tip #3: Detach all nested instances

Open Quick Actions using Command + / or Ctrl + /. Find “Detach all nested instances” to detach all instances within selection.

Tip #4: Search with Component Tags

Add tags or related terms in component descriptions to search them in the figma asset panel.

Tip #5: Avoid component color overrides

Use the same layer name and hierarchy inside different components to preserve color property while swapping nested instances or components.
