Mastering the Art of Visual Flow: Using Hierarchy to Guide Your User's Journey

Visual Hierarchy is your secret weapon in the fast reading online world. This is how desire changes: with a pleasing format design, information displayed in right place on the page where the user looks passing through them first.

Now, picture a website where every single element fights for the most attention: text versus images versus buttons. Yikes! Great visual hierarchy effortlessly guides users through your website or app and prevent them from missing the important pieces of information.

The Need for Visual Hierarchy

Improved User Experience: By providing users with the key information upfront, you create a seamless and intuitive journey.

Simplified Scanning: a clear visual hierarchy reduces clutter and makes sure users are able to scan information on the page.

Calls to Action (CTAs) - You can use different color schemes to tell users what actions you want them to take next or encourage them to take a specific action, such as buying a product or signing up for the newsletter.

Creating a Visual Hierarchy Masterpiece

Loud: As elements grow, they attract more attention. Strategically sized elements help the most important information (like headlines and CTAs) stand out.

High Color Contrast: Colors that are very different from one another. Instead, use them to make important elements stand out and define the separation of space visually.

Whitespace is Your Bestie - Do not fear blank spaces! Whitespace allows elements to reside and prevents visual clutter.

Positioning: The placement of items on the page is scheduled to get you to look there first. From a critical perspective, put key info near the top of the page.

Typography Is Louder than Words: Differentiate your titles, body text, and call-to-actions with different font sizes, weights, and styles.
