However, it's essential to instill a culture of accountability and preparedness within project teams. This starts by emphasizing the importance of adhering to the toll gate review dates outlined in the project charter. As mentors, our role extends beyond providing guidance on methodology; we must also cultivate discipline and readiness among project leads to ensure they are adequately prepared to present their progress, successes, and challenges at each toll gate. This conditioning not only fosters ownership and accountability but also equips project leads with the confidence and skills needed to effectively communicate their project's status and solicit support or resources as necessary.
