Check out these easy tips to make your listening skills totally shine and connect with your prospects on a whole new level.
When you're talking to a customer, give them your full attention. Put away distractions, look them in the eye, and show them you're totally into what they're saying. Trust us, they'll notice the love and open up more.
2. Feel Their Feels (Practice Empathy)
Empathy is the secret sauce of active listening. Put yourself in their shoes and try to really get where they're coming from. Understanding their problems and dreams builds trust and makes the connection real.
3. Ask Questions Like a Champ (Ask Open-Ended Questions)
Want the scoop? Ask open-ended questions that get them talking. Instead of yes or no questions, try stuff like "What's the toughest part of your current process?" or "How do you picture the dream outcome?" This will get the convo flowing.
4. Parrot Their Words (Not Literally) (Use Reflective Listening)
Use reflective listening to show them you're on the same wavelength. Repeat or rephrase what they said, so they know you're picking up what they're putting down. It's like saying, "Got it! I totally get that you're dealing with efficiency probs."
