Mastering 3D Printing, 2nd edition, is out

When Rich Cameron and I collaborated on the first edition of Mastering 3D Printing back in 2014, we avoided screen shots because we felt everything was changing so fast that it would be obsolete in no time. When we went back into the book last year to develop a second edition, it was amazing how little we were going to be able to keep.
Some of the new material we've added includes how to decide what printer to buy, and where you should put your printer. We've added significant coverage for resin printers, which were barely on the radar as consumer devices back when the first edition was written.
We now have a whole chapter on metal 3D printing and casting, with an emphasis on the lower-cost end of the spectrum.
What hasn't changed is that we've kept our emphasis on practical advice, based on our own experience and things that have cropped up for our consulting clients at our company, Nonscriptum LLC (which didn't exist then either!) We know that some people have been using the first edition as a textbook for a while, and we've added some features (like questions at the end of each chapter) to make it a little friendlier for that application.
It's available at the publisher, Apress, on Amazon, and at other retailers.
So many people helped us out with images, advice, or just helping us out over the years that we'd miss too many if we tried to name them all. But we hope it will get even more people excited about 3D printing/additive manufacturing in the years to come!
