Mastercard enters partnership with Copenhagen Fintech

Partnerships are the lifeblood of many companies, and for Copenhagen Fintech this is no exception.?
Since Copenhagen Fintech was established in 2016, startups, new jobs, partnerships and investments in fintech have risen annually, and at an accelerated rate.??
The past year has seen Copenhagen Fintech itself build partnerships with multiple powerhouse companies, in strategic moves which will continue to elevate Nordic innovation within fintech - the latest of which is a collaboration with Mastercard.?

Over the past few years, Mastercard has continued to strengthen its presence here in Denmark, through acquisitions (of companies such as Aiia and Nets’ Corporate Services business) and has grown from just a handful to hundreds of employees.??
As part of its ambition to create a strong base in the Nordics, Mastercard joined Copenhagen Fintech as a corporate partner upon entry into the Danish market, and has participated in flagship initiatives such as Copenhagen Fintech Week (now Nordic Fintech Week). Similarly, Copenhagen Fintech has been a community partner of the Mastercard Lighthouse program.?
As part of the new collaboration, existing and new activities will be brought together with a joint focus on growth, knowledge sharing and innovation opportunities through multiple programs and services ranging from open banking to start-up programs.??
This will involve advisory and development for startups in the Copenhagen Fintech Lab and Mastercard Lighthouse - a Nordic and Baltic FinTech initiative that is an innovation project and accelerator program for startups. Mastercard will also participate as a sponsor and presenter at Nordic Fintech Week, which will be held on 27-28 September in Copenhagen.?
